What you can expect at the Relocation and Job Fair
Sønderborg Municipality which is located in Southern Denmark is looking for skilled labour and is therefore organising a Relocation and Job Fair for people who would like to live and work in our beautiful region.
Here you will find beautiful beaches, a lively cultural life, a variety of Danish and international daycare centres and schools, attractive job opportunities and affordable real estate – and all this at the gate to Europe and close to the German-Danish border.
The fair is divided in two parts:
1) Relocation Fair from 10.45 to 12.45
Hotel Sønderborg Strand, Strandvej 1 in Sønderborg.
At the Relocation and Job Fair, you can get answers to many relocation-related questions. At around 25 different information stands, you can find out about taxes, property, kindergartens and schools, cultural and leisure activities, Danish language courses and much more.
2) Job Fair from 2 to 4 pm
Reimer Skole, Kirke Allé 9 in Sønderborg
There will be around 40 local companies taking part who are currently looking for qualified workers or expect to be able to offer vacancies in the near future.

Did you get curious? Then come along on 12 March 2026! Around 40 local companies from the Sønderborg area will attend the fair. They are all looking for qualified labour or expect to have open job positions in near future.
The municipality Sønderborg in Southern Denmark is looking for skilled labour, e.g.:
- Engineers and IT specialists
- Healthcare staff
- Hotel and catering staff
- Transport and logistics personnel
- Skilled workers and unskilled labour
Furthermore, there are many other interesting jobs in the public and private sector.

How can I get to the Relocation and Job Fair?
You can get directly to Sønderborg by bus or train. The Relocation Fair takes place at Hotel Sønderborg Strand , Strandvej 1 in Sønderborg.
The Job Fair takes at Reimer-Skolen, Kirke Allé 9 in Sønderborg.

If you want to fly you have to fly to either Sønderborg, Billund or Hamburg/Germany and then take a bus or train to Sønderborg.
Please note that you will have to pay for your own journey and do not forget to bring your passport, as there will still be checks at the airport or at the German-Danish border.
Where can I park during the fair?
There are plenty of free and unrestricted parking spaces in front of Hotel Sønderborg Strand. At Reimer-Skolen there are only some available parking spots.
If you cannot find a parking space you can here soon take a look at our list with other parking possibilities in Sønderborg. Please be aware that there are time restrictions on some of the parking places.
Can I take my dog to the fair?
No. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed. Only guide dogs are allowed.
Will there be activities for children during the event?
Yes, during the Relocation Fair there will be activities for children. They have the opportunity to draw at the children´s table.
At the Job Fair there will not be any activities for children.
Parents are responsible for their children and have a duty of supervision throughout the event. The municipality cannot accept any liability.
Where can I enjoy a lunch in Sønderborg?
Here you can find plenty of restaurants in Sønderborg.
The restaurants Café Kjukken, Torve-Hallen, Curry Leaves, Colosseum, Restaurant Grand Mére, Karikatur and the restaurants at the market place are located near the fair´s two locations.
