On June 12th from 18:00 to 21:00, the Koncertsalen at Alsion in Sønderborg will host a spectacular evening dedicated to space, science, and the wonders of the night sky. Organised by IDA Space and the Als Rocketry Club, the event invites attendees on an unforgettable journey through time and space, from Denmark’s own landscapes all the way to the edges of the universe.

The highlight of the evening is a presentation by internationally recognised and award-winning astrophotographer Jakob Arthur Andersen, whose work has been featured by NASA, the Planetarium Copenhagen, DR, and TV2. Through breathtaking imagery captured with telescopes and cameras across Denmark and beyond, Jakob guides audiences from Earth out to the Milky Way and deep into the cosmos; all with humour, knowledge, and visuals that leave people saying WOW. His stories from the field are as gripping as his photographs, ranging from threats at gunpoint to surreal encounters in remote deserts. The evening also features a presentation by Als Rocketry Club (ARC), a student-driven initiative dedicated to promoting rocket science and engineering education, with a mission to develop Denmark’s next generation of top engineers.

Attendees are welcome to stay afterward for drinks, snacks, and further networking. Admission is free for IDA members, and 100 DKK for non-members.
