What you can expect at the Relocation and Job Fair

The municipalities of Southern Denmark (Aabenraa, Haderslev, Sønderborg and Tønder) are looking for skilled labour and are therefore – in cooperation with URS (Udviklingsråd Sønderjylland) –  organising a joint Relocation and Job Fair for people who would like to live and work in our beautiful region.

Here you will find beautiful beaches, a lively cultural life, a variety of  Danish and international daycare centres and schools, attractive job opportunities and affordable real estate – and all this at the gate to Europe and close to the German-Danish border.

At the Relocation and Job Fair, you can get answers to many relocation-related questions. At around 40 different information stands, you can find out about taxes, property, kindergartens and schools, cultural and leisure activities, Danish language courses and much more.

There will also be around 80 South Danish companies taking part who are currently looking for qualified workers or expect to be able to offer vacancies in the near future.

The Relocation and Job Fair in Southern Denmark takes place Sep. 13 from 12 to 15. Do not hesitate and sign up here.

The event is free of charge.

Place: Ahlmannsparken, Ahlefeldvej 4 in DK 6300 Gråsten.

We are looking for qualified workers

Did you get curious? Then come along on 13 September 2024! Around 80 companies from Southern Denmark will attend the fair. They are all looking for qualified labour or expect to have open job positions in near future.

The municipalities in Southern Denmark are looking for skilled labour, e.g.:

  • Engineers and IT specialists
  • Healthcare staff
  • Hotel and catering staff
  • Transport and logistics personnel
  • Skilled workers and unskilled labour

Furthermore, there are many other interesting jobs in the public and private sector.

Where can I stay overnight in Southern Denmark?

Please note that you will have to pay for any overnight accommodation yourself.

How can I get to the Relocation and Job Fair?

You can get directly to Gråsten by bus or train. The Relocation and Job Fair takes place at Ahlmannspark, Ahlefeldvej 4 in Gråsten (Sønderborg municipality).

If you want to fly you have to fly to either Sønderborg, Billund or Hamburg/Germany and then take a bus or train to Gråsten.

Please note that you will have to pay for your own journey and do not forget to bring your passport, as there will still be checks at the airport or at the German-Danish border.

Where can I park at the Ahlmannspark?

There are plenty of free and unrestricted parking spaces in front of Ahlmannspark.

If you cannot find a parking space in front of Ahlmannspark, you can here take a look at our list with other parking possibilities in Gråsten. Please be aware that there are time restrictions on some of the parking places.  

Can I take my dog into the Ahlmannspark?

No. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in Ahlmannspark. Only guide dogs are allowed.

Will there be activities for children during the event?

Yes, there are also activities for children at Ahlmannspark. For example, children will have the opportunity to visit our bowling club or public library. Both are located at Ahlmannsparken. 

Parents are responsible for their children and have a duty of supervision throughout the event. The municipalities cannot accept any liability.
