Dansk Café is visiting Recycling Center, Nørrekobbel 7, 6400 Sønderborg
The Dansk café is visiting the Recycling Center on August 26th
So, you´ve moved to Denmark, bought a bike, converted to organic milk! But what about recycling?
Do you like to know how to go green and maintain a friendly environment? Then join us for a visit to “Recycling Center”!
In theory, we all understand the importance of recycling, how we live on a planet with finite materials, how recycling decreases pollution and reduces energy consumption to produce new materials, etc.
Practically speaking, however, it isn’t that easy. Effective waste sorting is the most important prerequisite for effective recycling. Therefore, it is relevant to make waste sorting more user friendly and instructive.
So how can you recycle like a pro?
Dansk Café has organized a visit to Recycling Center in Sønderborg (Sonforce – Nørrekobbel genbrugsplads). We will have a tour around the center and different containers and learn about what happens to the waste and sorting procedure.
In October 2020, all citizens in Sønderborg Municipality will have to sort their waste in a new, better and easier way. Therefore, in this visit, we learn about why another sorting is necessary, and then of course we are introduced to different types of waste and the correct sorting method.
Date: Wednesday, 26th August 2020
Place: Nørrekobbel 7, 6400 Sønderborg
Note! We meet at Multikulturhuset at 5 pm and drive all together to the Recycling Center. Departing time: kl.17.20
It is completely free to participate, and everyone is warm welcome.

What is Dansk Café?
Dansk Café is a regular meeting for people who want to learn and help each other with practicing Danish. It is a cooperation between SDU Library and Newcomers Network Sønderborg.
Dansk Café is all about getting used to speaking Danish in a cosy atmosphere. Sometimes there are special topics, sometimes you learn by playing games, or just by practicing talking to each other in Danish. It is for all levels, and there is always coffee/tea for everyone.
When are Dansk Cafés:
Normally the event takes place every second Saturday of the month from 1.30 to 3.30 pm, and every last Wednesday of the month from 5 to 7 pm at “Multikulturhuset”, Nørre Havnegade 15, 6400 Sonderborg.
