Childcare
In Sonderborg Municipality we have good standards and a care guarantee. We have private and municipal childcare services, kindergartens with special offers, four German kindergartens, one international kindergarten, and four children's universes.
It is possible to apply for a free place subsidy. Most nurseries and kindergartens offer lunch programs.
Schools
In Sonderborg Municipality we have many municipal and private schools, a special school, special grades as well as three German and one international school.
A child is initially enrolled in the school district in which the child lives.
Most schools have after-school care centers and clubs attached to them, where your school-age child can be cared for before and after school.
Education and guidance for young people
Youth Center is for young people between the ages of 15 and 25. It is intended to advise, support and involve young people in choosing education and jobs. The youth center covers everything from youth clubs, 10th class, integration, future educational opportunities and youth counseling with psychologists and other experts.
