About the skating rink in Sonderborg
Practical information
The ice skating rink is free to use – except during bookings.
The floodlights are on until 11 pm.
The ice skating rink can be closed during bad weather. It is also closed while the staff is working on the ice (typically in the early morning and at 2.15 pm on weekends and holidays).
Using the ice skating rink is at your own risk!
The ice skating rink measures 35 x 40 metres and has more than 45,000 guests each season. The rink is a hit among the area’s institutions, who use it extensively throughout the season.
The top corner of the rink, closest to the audience, is reserved for the smallest skaters. Please take care and skate respectfully!
If the ice skating rink is very crowded, it may only be used by people wearing ice skates.
It is forbidden to bring bottles onto the ice skating rink.
We always recommend using a helmet.
Book the ice-skating rink
All citizens are able to book the ice skating rink outside normal opening hours via this link.
The ice skating rink will then be reserved for the participants of the reservation. Others will only be allowed on the rink if allowed by those who have booked it.
