Become a volunteer



If you and others carry out an activity together and would like to receive funding and/or use public facilities, you can form your own association.

In Sonderborg Municipality it is The Public Information Committee, which handles matters such as premises regulations, subsidy schemes, premises allocation and approval of new associations.

Here you can sign up for the newsletter from the Culture Department in Sonderborg Municipality. Here you can receive ongoing information for associations and actors such as theme nights, useful knowledge, etc.

Leisure party

Every year, Sonderborg Municipality and the Public Information Committee honor active individuals, talents and communities in the associations through the Fritidsfesten. This party is held in March/April and is a celebration of volunteer work in the municipality, where awards are presented to the associations.

Sonderborg Municipality awards six awards each year based on nominations from the public. Do you know an association with a unique talent, a very special leader or a new and fun activity? Then we would love to hear about it!
