Mushroom picking for beginners

On a mushroom trip in the forest on Als

We walk together through the forest and look for the seasonal mushrooms. Along the way, you will gain insight into the characteristics, growing locations and safe handling of the different mushroom species. After the walk, the findings are reviewed, and tasting samples and a cup of hot herbal tea are served so you can taste nature's gifts.

Practical tips for the trip

• Dress appropriately for the weather: Dress appropriately and take the weather into account on the day.

• Basket or bag: Bring a basket or bag to collect mushrooms in.

• Small trays: Bring some small trays or containers to separate different mushroom species.

• Herb knife: A sharp herb knife is necessary to remove the root from the mushrooms.

• Notepad and pen: Bring a notepad and pen to write down important information about the mushrooms.

• Bring a heat-resistant cup to enjoy the herbal tea served in.

Small teams – big experience

The tour is conducted in small groups with a maximum of 12 people, so there is time for questions and a thorough review of all findings.

Viewer discretion: There will be a small fee for tastings of 50kr., which will be settled directly with the teacher.
