Sebastian & Lis

Sebastian & Lis

Sebastian and Lis Sørensen are on tour together for the first time since the 80s.

Two of Denmark's biggest figures, Sebastian and Lis Sørensen, revive their iconic collaboration under the title Tiderne Skifter, and on January 23, 2027 they hit Alsion in Sonderborg.

By 1979, Sebastian was an established star with several critically acclaimed albums under his belt. And when he was to record his Bertolt Brecht interpretations on the album Times are changing, he invited a newer voice into the studio: Lis Sørensen from the style-setting Shit & Chanel. This planted the seeds for one of the most beloved collaborations in Danish music. Lis Sørensen didn't just weave her dreamy vocals into Sebastian's songs as a chorus; she became a permanent member of the Sebastian Band and had her own songs, not least Calm before the storm from Star to dust.

In 2027, that collaboration will be given new life when the two soloists go on tour together – for the first time since the 1980s.

"Time has passed, and it is important for us to tie a knot. It means a lot to us to stand there together, and I think it also means a lot to the audience," says Lis Sørensen, remembering the beginning of her collaboration with Sebastian:

"For me, it meant getting access to a type of songs I had never sung before. I came from Shit & Chanel, where we made songs in real time. Sebastian opened up an adventurous universe both in terms of words and in his way of composing and arranging. No one wrote songs like him," says Lis Sørensen, while Sebastian says about her:

"She came with a huge energy. She can step in and read songs and add a majestic grandeur. So a familiarity quickly arose between us, and we came to mean a lot to each other."

The upcoming tour will be titled Times are changing– a nod both to the origins of their collaboration and to the years that have passed.
