Emil Hess Quartet
New Nordic jazz with a transatlantic touch. Original melodies, spherical warm sounds, swinging grooves and a colorful expression. Award-winning musicians who have played together for many years, and who all have a close knowledge of Emil Hess' music. The quartet has made 2 albums - most recently "Open Minds" 2025. Pianist Thomas Clausen and Emil Hess have collaborated in various constellations for more than 25 years. With joint participation on several critically acclaimed albums and many concerts, they know each other well and have a close collaboration with great mutual understanding. The quartet also includes Canadian bassist Graig Earle and drummer Jonas Johansen.
